Why are you back on Kickstarter?
Launching BetterBack on Kickstarter last year was an over the moon dream come true!!! I’ve been working closely with an amazing team of industrial designers, doctors, physiotherapists, trainers, beta testers and manufacturers to come up with a next gen version of BetterBack that I know you’ll love.
We’ve made lots of amazing improvements to BetterBack Therapy — things like hot/cold therapy packs, memory foam cushioning, and a brand new Plus option.
We’re back on Kickstarter so we can share these amazing improvements with YOU, the same community that made BetterBack possible in the first place! Can I wear BetterBack Therapy while I drive?
Unfortunately, no. BetterBack Therapy is not safe to wear driving, or when you need quick leg mobility. It is great for sitting at your desk, eating, meeting, going to a movie, sitting on an airplane, meditating, etc. Note: you can wear BetterBack Therapy cross-legged!

Will I look stupid wearing it?
It’s hard to believe, but most people don’t even notice when you’re wearing it. I sit through meals, meetings and flights with BetterBack Therapy on and it’s only when I’m taking it off that people tend to notice it, with a “you’ve been wearing that this whole time?!!” The thing that tends to happen next is someone shares their story of back pain and asks to try it on. I’ve tried everything.

How often should I wear Betterback Therapy?
Sit in perfect posture for minutes or hours. BetterBack Therapy and BetterBack Therapy Plus are comfortable to wear all day long, but even 15 minutes a day can greatly improve the quality of your life.

How should I ice and when should I heat my back?
Since everyone has a different history and experience with back pain, it’s always best to consult with a doctor if you have any specific questions. We love using heat therapy for healing, relaxing tight muscles and spasms, and for gentle pain relief. We’ve also found cold therapy to be best for acute injuries, inflammation and pain relief, especially right after injuries or workouts. These are general guidelines, and we always recommend using whatever type of therapy feels best for your back!

BetterBack Therapy can help relieve the pain and inflammation that comes along with these medical conditions. The hot/cold therapy packs are designed to give you pain relief and healing on-the-go. What size should I get?
BetterBack Therapy is perfect for people with up to a 38” waist who are looking for a lightweight, portable option. BetterBack Therapy Plus is twice the size, and is an amazing choice for bigger and taller folks with up to a 55” waist. If you want something super substantial or just want the biggest bear hug for your back, BetterBack Plus might also be a good choice. Ultimately, it’s up to you to decide which size you think would work best for YOU! Just make sure to take into account size, portability and support.

What’s your return policy?
Unfortunately, we don’t accept returns or refunds on items received as Kickstarter rewards. In the Kickstarter community, the item that you receive after backing our project is considered a reward, instead of a traditional purchase. By backing our project, you’re supporting our business goals and mission, and what you get in return is considered a token of appreciation for your amazing support.

How do I make sure I receive my BetterBack Therapy?
The way that Kickstarter works is unique. When our Kickstarter campaign is over, we’ll send you a survey that’ll ask for your best shipping address. Please note that we can’t send you your new BetterBack Therapy unless you provide us with a shipping address — so make sure to watch your email inbox! :)

I ordered more than one BetterBack Therapy. How does shipping work?
As long as you’re shipping to the same location, you only have to pay shipping for your first BetterBack, we will cover the rest! So, your shipping fee won’t increase no matter how many you order — hooray!
I want my reward shipped to two different shipping addresses, but BackerKit only gives me the option to add one. How do I do this?
If you want your BetterBacks shipped to two different addresses, it’s no problem! We can manually split your order for you — just contact BackerKit directly at [email protected] and they’ll be more than happy to sort it out for you. Note: you will have to cover shipping for both packages.
How are duties/VAT handled?
We promised our international backer friends that we would help you out by paying for duties/VAT on your rewards! While it is not possible for us to prepay them (postage companies don’t allow it), we are more than happy to reimburse duties/VAT — all you have to do is submit your receipt to us at [email protected] within 30 days of payment, and we’ll reimburse you via PayPal.
How do the extra therapy packs work?
Just like we announced in our update, if you buy 2+ BetterBacks, you’ll get a second therapy pack for each of your BetterBacks for free! If you want only one BetterBack, you can add additional therapy packs to your pledge through Backer Kit at Kickstarter-only pricing (while our survey is open).
I only pledged for one BetterBack Therapy, but I want more than one therapy pack. How can I get more?
If you want more therapy packs than comes with your pledge, it’s as easy as selecting the option of adding-on an extra therapy pack during our BackerKit survey! You can order a small pack that fits into a BetterBack Therapy for $12 ($19.99 regular price) or a large pack for a BetterBack Therapy Plus for $18 ($29.99 regular price)!

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
